The University of Düsseldorf, founded in 1965, is a public (comprehensive) university seated in Düsseldorf with more than 30,000 students. It is organized into five faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Medical Faculty, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. The scope of studies ranges from 37 Bachelor and State Examination degree courses to 34 Master degree courses, including the English-language courses “Translational Neuroscience“ (M.Sc.), “Physics“ (M.Sc.), “European Studies“ (M.A.), “Comparative Studies in English and American Language. Literature and Culture“ (M.A.), and “Biology International“ (M.Sc.). The range of studies is complemented by the continuing education courses “Endodontology“ (M.Sc.), “Information Law“ (LL.M.), “Intellectual Property Law“ (LL.M.), “Medical Law“ (LL.M.), and “Public Health“ (M.Sc.). Excluded from the University’s range of studies are teacher education programs.
