Political Economics focus on the human action in business, the production and distribution of goods, and how economics affect society. Students learn about current topics in economics, like minimum wages and the regulation of banks. They gain understanding of the interactions in companies, as well as of clients and employees in the economic market. Subjects taught in Political Economics programs typically include Micro and Macroeconomics, Principles of Economics, Business and Management, Mathematical Methods in Economics, Statistical Data Analysis, International Politics, Economic Analysis, Econometrics, Government and Business and others. Students must have strong interest in economics, mathematics and business. A degree course in Political Economics provides in-depth knowledge in the field, and also helps develop analytical-thinking, problem-solving, research, communication, systematic and critical-thinking skills. Students learn to apply different methods to solve economic questions. Graduates have a variety of career prospects.
