The Hochschule der Polizei des Landes Brandenburg, founded in 1998, is a public university of applied sciences seated in Oranienburg. It serves as a facility to train police officers at the intermediate, higher intermediate and senior level. The scope of studies includes the three-year Bachelor degree program “Police Service“ (B.A.) for the training at higher intermediate level. The program contains a theoretical and practical component, as well as 13-week internships. Also on offer is a Master degree program for the training at senior level. Added to this are continuing education opportunities in the fields of Common Basis of Training, Professional Specialization, Police Training, as well as Social Competence Training. The Hochschule der Polizei des Landes Brandenburg currently accomodates 270 students.
