University of Applied Sciences Jena, founded in 1991, is a public university seated in Jena, Thuringia. It accomodates round about 4,500 students. Prospective students can choose from a range of 24 Bachelor and 20 Master degree courses. The University breaks down in nine departments: the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Department of Fundamental Sciences, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering and Biotechnology, the Department of Health and Care, the Department of SciTech, the Department of Social Work, and the Department of Industrial Engineering. The correspondence courses offered by the University are “Nursing“, and “Nursing Science/Nursing Administration“. Among the career-integrated courses are “Coaching and Leadership“, “Production Engineering/Production Management“, “General Management“, “Health Care Management“, “Patent Engineering“, and “Games and Media Literacy“. Depending on the respective program, graduates of the University of Applied Sciences Jena receive a B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., M.Sc., M.Eng., and MBA.
