Internship while working part-time

Veröffentlicht von:  VivienneH

I am about to start my Masters course at WU Vienna in about a month and I am planning on completing an internship by the end of the course. However, I am also working part-time and I was wondering if I can do both simultaneously. Will my internship intervene with my working hours? Also if this is the case do I have to apply for a work permit or can I just keep on working without any additional documents?

I think you can work and do an internship at the same time as long as the internship is related to your studies but Im not too sure…

As long as you are doing an unpaid internship you won’t need a permit, which also means that the hours accumulated at your internship wont count against the hours you are entitled to work as a student. So yes, you can do both , however I am not sure how you will manage in terms of time, effort and amount of studies. If you can do all together without getting overwhelmed than maybe you should try it.

I did an unpaid internship last year and I was asked to prove that this was part of my course and is meant to contribute to my training, so yes I can also tell you that it works in terms of legal requirements.

Thank you so much guys fr#or the information. I really don’t know if I will be able to do all three things together but I still have time to think about it. Maybe I will do the internship first and ask my parents for financial support in the meantime.

You will be lucky if you manage to work, study and do an internship all at the same time especially doing Masters :D idk for me personally it’s just too much stress and at the end you won’t be able to put enough effort into each aspect alone. Maybe you should look por a paid internship.
