Can’t fit in

This is my first year in uni and I am really having a hard time to fit in. I decided to live in a student accommodation so that I can be closer to other people my age and make friends easily but sadly this hasnt happened yet I am living in a single room so I dont have any flatmates to hang out with and I dont feel comfortable approaching random people to get to know them…. idk I feel like a creep. Has anyone had a similar problem? What should I do to make new friends?

Go to a party, Im sure they are having lots of them and with so many people no one will be suspicious of who exactly invited you so you can easily blend in… :D

You need to get out of your comfortable zone and just talk to people. There’s nothing scary about it we are all students after all this is more or less expected from us. If you are a smoker just go and have a cigarette in the court yard of your university and ask someone for a lighter and then spark a conversation with them. I hthink this is a good excuse.
