Solo travel but where
Veröffentlicht von: FelixD
Hey there! My name is Felix and I decided to check out this forum for some travelling tips and ideas. I really need a holiday ASAP and I am planning on travelling solo. The only thing is that I am not really sure where to go. I want to visit some place that is safe, with warm climate and beautiful nature. Please help a brother in need with some suggestions.

Cyprus is great. I come from Larnaca, a city in the southern coast of Cyprus and a popular tourist destination. It is not very big but very good for a trip that you want. Warm climate, beautiful beaches in and outside of the city, great food and nice people. I recommend you visit during summer because there are more options to go out and more people.

Is this your first time traveling alone?

Yes, actually it is.

I think you should really think this through. Safety is one of the issues of solo travling but also loneliness, your budget and single supplement fees that could be quite stiff sometimes.

As a solo traveller for about five years now I can tell you that there are a lot more advantages than downsides. What Savanna is saying is true but there are always ways to get around the single supplement fee, overcome loneliness and pplan the right budget. I personally think traveling alone is a very spiritual experience as you get to understand more about yourself. You meet new people, get to know new cultures and change your perspective about the world. I strongly recommend that you do that at least once in your life. About your question I would say you need to consider few things when picking a destination like how much time do you plan on traveling, what is your budget, what do you want to see, etc. but I would say a good first pick is perhaps Ireland. It is one of the safest destinations for solo travels it also has stunning nature and welcoming people so you should be good there.

My top picks for solo traveling in terms of safety are New Zeland and Iceland. Two completely different contries but presumed with the lowest crime rates. I have personally been to both and as a woman I can say it is true. I haven’t experienced anything bad in fact the opposite.

I agree with Caroline but for New Zeland you might need a bigger budget. If you are looking for something within the lower budget range and within Europe I would say pick a small city or a village in Italy or Spain. I would suggest Portofino, Positano or Ronda, they are are also with a pretty warm climate. People are generally nice, and willing to help. If you go for the capitals or biger cities there is always the risk of pickpocketing or robbery so you never know.
