The Diploma University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1998, is a private state-recognized university headquartered in Bad Sooden-Allendorf. It currently accommodates over 7,000 students. The university breaks down into five departments: the Department of Business, the Department of Law, the Department of Health and Social Affairs, the Department of Design, and the Department of Engineering. Students have the opportunity to choose from Bachelor and Master degree courses in Business Administration, Business Law, Graphic Design, Industrial Engineering, General Management, Psychology and many more areas. There are three forms of study that the Diploma University of Applied Sciences offers – correspondence studies with periods of attendance at a learning center of choice, correspondence studies carried out entirely online, and attendance studies at the main location in Bad Sooden-Allendorf. All programs are taught in German, but the university is very friendly towards foreign students. Preparatory courses are offered to foreign applicants to help prepare them for the assessment tests required to study in Germany.
