STUDYING IN BRÜHL

Despite its size, the city of Bruehl is a great study destination for those who want to receive an excellent level of higher education while living in a more relaxed atmosphere where living expenses are lower. The local European University of Applied Sciences (EUFH) is a new and modern private state-accredited higher education institution. Founded in 2001, the university is currently home to more than 1,600 students from all around Europe. The European University of Applied Sciences in Bruehl aims to provide students with a practice-oriented education and not just with theoretical knowledge, thus making them well-prepared for a successful career in the business or healthcare sector. Since the university is relatively small, students can benefit from a close, personal and welcoming atmosphere. The university offers students approximately ten different degree programs, including Business Information Systems, Logistics Management, Human Resource Management, and many others. The official language of instruction at the higher education institution is German, therefore most of the courses are entirely taught in the German language. However, the degree program European Business Management, as well as the International Innovation Management are offered in English, too. After choosing carefully the degree course that best fits their interests, prospective students need to take care of their student accommodation, too. Considering that most students need to stick to a particular budget, they do their best in finding a place that is not very expensive but still nice enough. In Bruehl, students can find single rooms available in shared apartments, where they will live with other students, sharing kitchen and bathroom. Such rooms usually cost between 280 and 380 EUR per month with all bills included. Another option for students is, if the budget allows it, to rent a one-bedroom apartment or studio just for themselves. For that, students can expect to pay between 415 and 600 EUR per month. However, in the area where Bruehl is located, it is really difficult to find an affordable place to stay, therefore international students coming to study in the city are advised to arrive two to three weeks prior to when the semester starts.
