STUDYING IN FÜRTH
Apart from the many traveling opportunities, the city of Fuerth is an ideal study destination because of the excellent level of higher education the town can offer. Wilhelm Loehe University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2012, is a private university with a focus on health and social work. It is a state-approved institute, and all its degrees are considered equivalent to degrees offered from public universities in the country. The university is relatively small, accommodating almost 200 students from around the world. The biggest advantage of studying in a small university is that students usually have a closer relationship with the professors there. Moreover, typical smaller classes make it easier for students to ask questions, share comments and engage in class discussions. The overall atmosphere feels more like home than being in a university. Wilhelm Loehe University of Applied Sciences offers courses at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Students can choose to study Health Economy, Nursing, Medical Assistance, Social Management and others courses. After choosing a degree to pursue, students need to find a convenient student accommodation for themselves. When it comes to student accommodation, prospective students often look for a balance between quality and price. In the city of Fuerth, one can easily find a bedroom in a shared apartment where several students share a kitchen and a bathroom and everyone has a separate bedroom just for themselves. Students can expect to pay between 260 and 380 EUR per month for a single room in a shared flat close to the city center. Studios and one-bedroom apartments are more expensive. However, the price also depends on where the flat is located and whether it is furnished or not.
