With a population of nearly 22,000 people, Riehen is the second-largest city in the northwestern part of Switzerland. Together with the cities of Basel and Bettingen, the city is one of the three municipalities in the Basel-Stadt canton. Riehen offers an exceptional quality of life for people of all ages for several reasons. STUDYING IN RIEHEN

Riehen is home to the State-Independent Theological University of Basel (STH), a private university for Protestant Theology. As a higher learning institution, the university provides over 1000 students with Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses in Theology accredited by the Swiss University Conference. One of the primary goals of STH is to prepare young adults for parish or pastor professions along with the possibility of pursuing a doctorate degree. The comprehensive study program is comprised of academic and practical training and focuses on examining fundamental questions in both human history and personal life.
