What are your hobbies? I’m looking for something new to do.

With online lectures and staying at home all the time Im going crazy!! I have lots of free time, but nothing to do. All day I watch TV or play video games. I want to do something new and productive but I don’t have ideas. Suggest me some hobbies please!

Hi, Aryan. I know your problem. It’s so hard to stay at home all the time and find new interesting things to do. Here are some of the ways I fill my time: read a book, join a free online class (there are many now), listen to a podcast, cook, workout at home, go out for run, talk with friends on Skype… I think I need more ideas too.

Why don’t you start learning a new language? Now’s a great time, especially if ur bored at home. I started learning French on Duolingo and it’s so much fun!

I try to stay on my laptop as little as possible. For example, after online lectures are done, I shut it and do something else. A good way to relax and get distracted is to do something with your hands – arts and crafts. I love sketching, sewing, origami and making cards. Sometimes even cleaning can help you feel better, because you stay active and work towards satisfying visible results.

Same here, I usually end up staying all day on Netflix or YouTube and wasting my time. One of my friends suggested painting, but I don’t have any skills and I don’t want to make a mess at home. Any other ideas?

I’ve started writing a blog! I don’t like writing when it’s for uni because it’s forced and boring, but writing my own blog is really fun! I don’t care if anyone reads it, but I find it so therapeutic and relaxing especially in stressful times like these.
