Will I lose weight on a Keto diet?

Hello everyone! I really want to lose some weight and tone up, and a few friends recommended me the Keto diet. I heard about it before, but I don’t know if it actually works. I’m not sure if I want to start it, because I don’t eat a lot of meat usually, but if it works, I will. Did anyone try and how did it go for you? Did you lose weight? Btw, do you know good Keto recipes? Should I eat much meat or more fats and milk/eggs?

To me the most important thing is to do what feels right for your body. If you don’t eat much meat generally, there is no point in forcing yourself just for the keto diet. You can try going vegan or cutting down foods high in sugar on carbs, but don’t do something you don’t like just for the sake of it.

The most important principle to remember when you want to lose weight is to create a calorie deficit. That means that your burning more calpories than your eating. Only then you can be sure that you will lose weight and depending on how muc you burn, you can see how fast it will be.

I treid the keto diet and lost some weight but gained it back after that. I like it because I felt more healthy and had a lot more energy. I think that’s why people do it. Because carbs take a lot of energy, when you reduce them, you feel a lot fresher during the day.

Well my advice is to eat food that is low in calories. Good examples are different vegetables and fruits, chickpeas, beans, eggs, tofu, chicken and things like that. Be careful with things that have a lot of fat. Fat usually has a lots of calories and the same goes for sugar. But its best to avoid sugar anyway and especially if you want to loose weight.
