Bye, Bye Tegel airport

Have you guys heard the latest news? Tegel Airport is scheduled to be closed on the 8th this month for good… :( ( ( This is so sad.. First Schönefeld now Tegel, what’s going on with Berlin’s airports? Which one will be used now??

Yeah… sad news. I remember they closed Tempelhof in 2008 and it is now a place for joggers, skaters and families with dogs and kids :D Maybe they are trying to turn all airports into some sort of parks or public places for leisure… idk really

BER is now open and I heard they will be turning Schonefeld into a Terminal of BER, so I guess everyone will have to use only BER now. At least its brand new and big and will serve international flights.

I really did not like that airport. It always seemd to me passenger unfriendly and poorly designed. I was really surprise it lasted that long especially in a city that is supposed to be a modern capital.

Yeah, I also heard from a friend that large portions of Schonefeld are being closed and it will all be merged with BER as Terminal 5.
