Positive News
Published by: AvaN
Hey guys! I stopped watching and reading news like two or three months ago. I just simply cant take it anymore with all the negativity coming our of my TV, laptop, phone, radio and basically everywhere. Sooo I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread here where we can all share some positive news that we see online. I read an article that talked about major countries like UK, Germany and Spain adopting a four-day week as a way of recovering their economies from the downsides of the pandemic. That sounds cool doesn’t it? :D Whats your news?

I read a week ago that a string quartet performed an opera infornt of over 2,000 potted plants :D The artist who did this came up with the idea during lockdown because he felt people did not really appreciate their relationship with nature. Here’s a link to the concert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgvadprJFRc&feature=emb_title

Wow, well that’s interesting. I also think that people should reconcider their relationship with the environment more deeply.

Im sure you guys heard this on the news but I think it is fascinating how wild animals started roaming the streets in many countries across the world during lockdown. I am from Wales and my parents told me they saw goats and a deer on their street.

I read on the Independent website a week ago that a couple in New Zealand gave away a huge land that was worth million to their government. They did that with the hope that this land will be preserved for future generations so they can appreciate and enjoy the nature.

I saw an YouTube video about the climate change benefits of Covid. It said that carbon emissions are down and air quality has improved significantly. There was also information that people in India can now see the Himalayan mountain peaks which were not visible for almost 30 years. I think this is great and I wonder how far can these positive changes go if this continues like that.
