The “Master of Arts in Artistic Design and Therapy” program at Academy of Fine Arts Munich is with a length of 4 semesters, the final of which is dedicated to a Master’s thesis. The course is a practice-oriented postgraduate degree that builds on artistic experience, a new, exciting professional field in clinical, rehabilitative, preventive and social areas of work. The curriculum includes self-reflective testing of artistic-therapeutic methods as well as classic psychotherapeutic teaching instruments such as supervision initiate an intensive examination of the new professional possibilities and challenges. Admission requirements include a relevant Bachelor’s degree and the submission of an artistic portfolio. Graduates are able to pursue careers in art therapy and other related fields.
