The Diploma degree course in “Fine Art” at Academy of Fine Arts Munich is with a length of 9 full-time semesters. The curriculum features sculpture, stage design and costume, photography, goldsmithing, graphic arts, painting, media arts, digital and time-based media and other relevant subjects. The main aim of the course is to prepare students for the development and testing of an artistically independent practice. Admission requirements include a university entrance qualification, proof of special artistic talent and aptitude, practical work of at least 8 weeks in a relevant branch of profession, craft or artistic-craft training and a German language certificate for international students. Graduates are able to take up and present an independent artistic position and to contribute to the international discourse in a theoretically reflective manner.
