The Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg, founded in 2007, is a public drama school seated in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Round about 50 students undergo an interdiciplinary training as an actor, dramaturg, or director. Prospective students can choose between four different degree courses: the four-year Bachelor course “Directing“ (B.A.), the seven-semester Bachelor course “Acting“ (B.A.), the four-semester Master course “Dramaturgy“ (M.A.), as well as the five-year Diploma course “Stage and Costume Design“. According to the interdisciplinary orientation of the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg, study programs are designed to provide a training that involves close collaboration between the individual fields of study. Thus the Academy cultivates a close partnership with both the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg and the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. All applicants must undergo an artistic aptitude test.
