The Akkon University for Human Sciences in Berlin conducts the study program “Bachelor of Science in Advanced Clinical Nursing: Cardiovascular Care”. The program is meant for professionals with at least three years of experience, who wish to improve their competence and update their theoretical knowledge in the field. The university relies primarily on evidence-based methods of teaching and developing the academic degree course. Students are in constant cooperation with their peers and lecturers through discussions, project and interactive work. Medical procedures and innovations, quality, risk, error management, psychological and communicative skills will add to the purely scientific disciplines in neurological competence. The degree is part-time and compatible with work, and gains 180 ECTS. For the comprehensive approach in its studies, as well as its scientific investigations, the university counts with the cooperation of national and international social and humanitarian organizations, associations and the authorities.
