The Akkon University for Human Sciences offers the degree course “Bachelor of Science in Advanced Clinical Nursing: Oncological Care”. Through a part-time curriculum of six semesters, the specific knowledge for performing nursing procedures to oncological patients will be given. The approach used will be evidence-based interpretations of medical cases, where pain treatment, palliative care, and case management will be needed. Innovations, risk and error management will also be dealt with. Conducting research projects in clinical nursing will also be part of the studies. The graduates will be expected to fill the positions available in oncological wards in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, palliative facilities and care services. Other branches suitable for professional realization are the insurance companies, clinical quality management or research institutions.
