The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Advanced Clinical Nursing: Pediatric Care” is available at Akkon University for Human Sciences in Berlin. It is planned for a six-semester period of studies, part-time and leading to 180 ECTS. The idea behind the curriculum is providing innovative and evidence-based knowledge in the area of pediatric nursing care, which will serve as a solid foundation for proficient practice in hospitals, pediatric departments, children’s palliative wards, hospices and welfare centers. Infants, children, adolescent, and young adults are the focus group who professional care will be treating, and all the relevant knowledge and know-how will be provided through the interactive discussion groups, and lectures by renowned professors and practitioners. Graduates will be trained not only in the purely scientific and technical matters concerning their tasks and responsibilities, but also in psychological, counseling, administration and management aspects of their everyday job.
