In the form of five semesters of block courses, the part-time program “Bachelor of Arts in Nursing Management” is carried out at Akkon University for Human Sciences in Berlin. The standard period of studies is five semesters, the credits obtained are 180. The degree is a comprehensive, but intensive course, on the aspects pertaining to the managerial role in nursing care. All teaching methodology is devised with the idea of evidence-based and application-oriented types of seminars and lectures, as well as field work, for which the theoretical and scientific load is a solid backup. Current, innovative, updated information is provided in the specific nursing science subjects, plus the management and communication skills ones. The overall goal is to equip students with tools and know-how for high-quality service. Collaborative learning formats through project work, lectures in interactive settings, given by guest lecturers with experience and qualification in the field, add to the value of the degree course provided.
