Apart from the standard, six-semester degree course “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” at Akkon University for Human Sciences in Berlin, which has a value of 180 credit points, there is an option for additional 25 ECTS, obtained through the completion of one of the specialization courses: Extremism and Radicalization Prevention, Migration and Intergration, Managament and Team Development, Pegagogy and Youth Welfare, and Psychosocial Counseling. State professional law recognizes the title of Social Worker after graduating this course. Tolerance to diversity, defense of social justice, social change movements, are the buzz words candidates for this program will feel close to their philosophy in life, and the studies will provide the scientific background and technical support for the efficient application of these beliefs. The duality of the degree is executed through social work, performed parallel to studies. The practice organizations involved in the employment contract of students can be one from the following spheres: non-profit organizations, companies, authorities, theurapeutic facilities, engaged in migration, integration, health care, education, drug help, child and youth welfare, among others.
