The Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1991, is a public university with round about 8,000 students (2,403 from foreign countries). Apart from its headquarters in Köthen (Anhalt), the University has further locations in Bernburg (Saale) and Dessau-Roßlau. Its educational portfolio consists of 33 Bachelor degree programs and 40 Master degree programs, with six extra-occupational and 4 dual Bachelor programs and nine extra-occupational Master programs. The University is organized into seven departments: Agriculture, Ecothrophology and Landscape Development; Economics; Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation; Design; Computer Science and Languages; Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering; Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering. While the engineering-related study programs are predominantly taught at the site in Köthen, the design- and architecture-related programs as well as the economic and ecological programs are carried out in Dessau and Bernburg, respectively.
