The “Master of Arts in Instrumental Pedagogy – Double Bass” program at Anton Bruckner Private University Upper Austria has a length of 4 semesters. The main aim of the course is to give students the strength, stamina and proper technique to play the demanding double bass. As the root of the orchestra, musical and rhythmic accuracy are imperative to its success, which is why students are given the opportunity to practice and perform on stage. Upon application candidates must present a Bachelor’s degree from a relevant field and pass an aptitude test. Graduates are able to work in private music education, music schools, conservatories and higher schools, among others.
