The “Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Studies Percussion” program at Anton Bruckner Private University Upper Austria is with a length of 8 full-time semesters. Over the duration of the course, students are provided with in-depth theory and the opportunity to practice and develop their artistic skills. The curriculum contains subjects like Aural training, Instrumentation, Music History, Cultural History, Rhythm training, Improvisation, Basics of music education, Ensemble, Orchestra and others. As part of the admission requirements, candidates are required to pass a two-part entrance exam. Graduates obtain an “instrumentalist“ qualification which enables them to play in orchestras or freelance.
