Augustana Divinity School Neuendettelsau, founded in 1947, is a theological institution of higher education seated in Neuendettelsau, Bavaria. It has the right to confer doctoral degrees. Round about 145 students are currently enrolled in the study program “Protestant Theology“ (Church Exam) to be trained for pastoral service. The program’s standard study period is ten semesters. It covers the following subjects: Old and New Testament, Church and Dogma History, Systematic Theology, and Practical Theology. Added to the standard study period are two more semesters for acquiring language skills in Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. To that end, Augustana Divinity School of Neuendettelsau offers intensive language courses, which can also be attended by students from other universities and higher education institutions.
