The bbw University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2007, is a state-recognized private university seated in Berlin that specializes in business and engineering. It is privately sponsored by the Akademie für Betriebswirtschaftliche Weiterbildung GmbH. Accomodating more than 1,200 students, bbw is the largest private university in the region. It provides 13 Bachelor and six Master degree courses, each with a different specialization, in the following fields: Business Sciences, Business Communications, Business Engineering, Engineering, and Business Information Technology. Among them are 18 full-time, 13 part-time (extra-occupational), and four dual (training-accompanying) courses. The scope of Bachelor studies offered includes the degree courses “Health Management“, “Trade Management“, “Real Estate Management“, “Media Management“, “Fashion Management“, “Tourism and Event Management“, “Business Communications“, Business Information Technology“, “Industrial Engineering“ (Specializations: Digital Industry 4.0, Logistic and Supply Management)“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Electrical Engineering – Electrotechnology“, and “Mechanical Engineering with Mechatronics“. At Master’s level, prospective students have the choice between the study courses “Management of Creative Industries“, “Real Estate Project Management“, “Business Sciences“ (Specializations: Health Management, Tourism Management, Green Business Management), “International Technology Transfer“, and “Strategic Management in Logistics“. Depending on the respective course of study, graduates of the bbw University of Applied Sciences receive a B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., and M.Sc.
