Bern University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1997, is a university of applied sciences with locations in Bern, Biel, Burgdorf, Magglingen, and Zollikofen. The University is divided into six departments: the Department of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering, the School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, the Bern University of the Arts, the Department of Engineering and Information Technology, the Department of Business, the Department of Health Professions, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM.
