The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, founded as recently as 2013 and seated in Cottbus-Senftenberg (Brandenburg), is a public university with a focus on engineering. With round about 8,000 students (including 2,000 students from abroad) from more than 111 countries, the Brandenburg University of Technology is Brandenburg’s second largest university. The University accomodates six faculties: Faculty 1: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology; Faculty 2: Environment and Natural Sciences; Faculty 3: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems; Faculty 4: Social Work, Health Care and Music; Faculty 5: Business, Law and Social Sciences; Faculty 6: Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning. The scope of study offerings ranges from Bachelor and Master programs through to doctoral programs in the fields of Built Environment, Health/Social/Music Pedagogy, Engineering Sciences, Cultural Sciences, Mathematics/Natural & Computer Sciences, Environment Sciences, and Business Sciences. Included in this are the postgraduate extra-occupational Master programs “Building and Preserving“, “Forensic Sciences and Engineering“, “Urban Design“, and “Economic Law for Technology Companies“. Depending on the individual study program, graduates receive a B.Sc., B.A., B. Eng., M.A., M.Sc., M.Eng., M.B.L., and PhD.
