Bremen University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1982 as a result of an amalgamation of four higher education institutions, is a public university seated in Bremen. It accomodates almost 9,000 students in 66 Bachelor and Master study programs in five faculties: the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Building and Environment, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the Faculty of Nature and Technology. In light of the great number of international study programs, many lectures are held in English. According to the University’s international orientation, more than half of the study programs offered involve an obligatory practical or study semester abroad. Due to 365 cooperation agreements with partnership universities all over the globe, there is also the possibility to complete individual modules abroad, with the number of semesters abroad varying between one and four. Graduates of Bremen University of Applied Sciences obtain a B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., M.Sc., or M.Eng. degree. Also on offer are continuative MBA and Master programs (extra-occupational or full-time), as well as certification courses.
