The Bundeswehr University Munich, founded in 1973, is a state university seated in Neubiberg, Bavaria. It provides almost 3,000 officers as well as officer candidates with a university education. The Bundeswehr University Munich accomodates ten departments, seven at University level and three at Fachhochschule level.
