With a total length of four semesters the “Master of Music Bassoon” is provided by Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. The program aim is to deepen their knowledge in the musical or theoretical direction according to their interests and artistic focus and obtain the necessary expressiveness and stylistic confidence. The students possess a representative repertoire in choral symphony, a cappella literature, opera and become able to rehearse and conduct choral symphonic concerts, a cappella concerts at a high level, to conduct as well as to work with professional opera choirs while obtaining a diversely developed, colorful and emotionally convincing conducting language. Graduates master how to independently develop mature interpretive concepts, to implement them in a conducting, to implement them and to give them an account in order to relate music-theoretical and music-scientific analyses to his or her practical performance and to elaborate them in writing.
