Description
With a total duration of four semesters the program “Master of Music in JRP: Hammond Organ” is offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. The aim of the course primarily falls on teaching all the important methods of playing the classic Hammond B-3 including jazz, rock, pop, gospel, funk, improvisation and solo playing along with accompanying techniques on the organ to developing bass lines (left hand bass), bass pedal technique, drawbar settings and more. The program also includes listening to and analyzing important and style-forming musicians and explores the interpretation, composition, improvisation as networked processes. Furthermore, participants will be able to grasp music theory issues appropriately and obtain the ability to critically examine methods of music-theoretical networking.
