Provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden the study course “Bachelor of Music in Harp (Artistic)” is with a duration of eight semesters. During the course, the instrumental basics and playing processes are methodically analyzed under anatomical, acoustic and movement-physiological criteria while imparting the basic knowledge of orchestral parts. Students gain chamber music abilities of different epochs and/or in different ensembles and grasp the complex ensemble-musical contexts. With regard to artistic practice, the course also aims to impart competencies through which students will able to question common interpretations from a historical and analytical point of view.
