The program “Bachelor of Music in Horn (Artistic)” offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden is with a duration of eight semesters. The content is devoted to theory and aesthetics as well as performance practice in the field of new music in order to enable the participants to perform in a variety of forms and styles in ensembles and to interact in chamber music, as well as to become acquainted with a wide variety of aesthetic directions of New Music, including theoretical orientation. The course provides the comprehension to students successfully orientate themselves theoretically in the various aesthetic directions of new music and to apply their acquired knowledge in practical situations are able to also integrate the working methods and contents of other disciplines.
