The program “Bachelor of Music in Horn (Music Pedagogy)” is with a duration of eight semesters and provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. It focuses on providing prospective students with specialist knowledge in the field of music theory and musicology, as well as in ear training. Additionally, participants receive the opportunity to participate in the university orchestra, university choir and other ensembles. The students will become able to efficiently and independently work at a historically reflected interpretation and master basic techniques of New Music on instruments or with the voice and are able to apply them in a differentiated way when participating in ensembles. Graduates will be able to understand the substantial changes and expansions that have taken place in the field of composing in the last decades and are able to explain by means of exemplary works.
