Description
Provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden the program “Bachelor of Music in Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy” is with a duration of eight semesters. The specialization modules of the course include elementary music theory, instrumental ensemble direction, vocal ensemble direction as well as rhythmic / elementary music education. The program aims to provide comprehensive artistic and educational training at the same time. Throughout their study, participants obtain basic vocal and breath control skills as well as vocal, stylistic and musical basics. By developing skills in bodywork, voice production and phonation and repertoire in a musically and vocally appropriate manner according to their singing abilities, students also acquire basic skills of scenic work. Basic body language, gestural and dialogic skills are tested on the basis of etude playing while in addition, participants develop their physical and rhythmic perception as well as their sense of balance and learn basic step sequences.
