The study course “Bachelor of Music in JRP: Drums” is with a duration of eight semesters is provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. While building a strong comprehensive jazz basis, the course is geared towards the development of modern drumming in popular music by providing practice-oriented, parallel one-to-one lessons where the aim is at creating the sound basis with the reference to worldwide ethnic origins and forms of music. The degree program imparts the expression, imagination and creative processes while training the abilities in transcribing, composing, arranging and improvising with individual subject of the current trends and playing techniques in pop music.
