The “Bachelor of Music in JRP IGP Instrumental” is provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden with a total length of eight semesters. Participants expand their musical-technical skills and learn concepts of improvisation and develop a basic repertoire for improvisation as a soloist with placed emphasis on teaching a standard repertoire from the field of jazz/rock/pop. During the course students will participate in semester-long ensembles with different instrumentations and styles while expanding their knowledge of the jazz/rock/pop repertoire in order to be able to play and improvise in different instrumentations and styles. Graduates of the bachelor degree possess mature abilities to prepare solo transcriptions and to interpret them and are able to confidently perform their own compositions or arranged jazz standards.
