Provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden the program “Master of Music in JRP Vocal Performance” is with a duration of four semesters. The main subject complex includes deepening the subjects of rhythm such as microtiming, phrasing, articulation, offbeat and onbeat, passing, metrics / free design, melody and harmomics as well as jazz-specific harmony, vertical or horizontal improvisation, guide-tone method, singing changes and melodic embellishment. Throughout the course, students are able to master the chord progressions, Scales, permutations, vocal sound, timbres, scat singing, free improvisation, instrumental singing along with the subject-specific stage dance, sentence singing and vocal improvisation. The course is also accompanied by workshops held by guest lecturers of the genre.
