The “Master of Music in Viola” is offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden with a total length of four semesters. The skills learned so far in choral conducting will be used as a basis to develop the conducting language, rehearsal techniques and sovereignty in dealing with choir and orchestra at a high artistic level. The focus is on demanding choral symphonic and a cappella literature of all stylistic epochs while participants deepen their knowledge in musical and theoretical directions according to their interests and artistic knowledge in a musical and theoretical direction. During their study, participants master to relate music-theoretical and music-scientific analyses with their practical performance and to elaborate them in writing.
