The study course “Master of Music Orchestra Conducting” is offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden with a total length of four semesters. The aim is to provide both comprehensive artistic and conceptual claim supplemented by practical project work while focusing on perfecting and professionalizing the skills students have already acquired. The program includes preparation and performance, participation in competitions and pre-conducting study of choral conducting at the highest artistic level. Participants will be able to conduct as well as to work with professional opera choirs while forming diversely developed, colorful and emotionally convincing conducting language in order to develop mature interpretative concepts independently, to implement them in a conducting and to interpret them expressively and to give an account of them.
