The program “Master of Music in Timpani/Percussion Instruments” is offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden with a duration of four semesters. By offering one-to-one tuition with artistic and instrumental specialization, regular coaching, solo or ensemble specialization the program enables students to furthermore treat music appropriately under music-theoretical questions. This applies in particular to the areas of analysis, interpretation and compositional technique, taking into account both historical and systematic aspects of theory formation. The student possesses skills to critically examine methods of teaching music theory and applied music theory. They develop difficult choral symphonic and a cappella literature, perfect their conducting language and convey a confident appearance in front of choir and orchestra.
