The eight-semester study course “Bachelor of Music in Trombone (Artistic)” is offered by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. Students gain an insight into the working methods of renowned artists and learn about interactive collaboration with partners and to overcome inhibitions and fears of playing without sheet music. The participants study the different improvisation rules and can apply them in first improvisations while deepening their experience in ensemble and orchestra work by means of literature from the symphonic, choral-symphonic or music-theatrical repertoire and the students get to know relevant scientific literature from the field of music education and get a first insight into possibilities of music education.
