Provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden the study course “Master of Music in Tuba” is with a total length of four semesters. The students have developed their experience with representative works of the repertoire of their major subject students gain the potential for an unprejudiced and critical examination of all areas of musicological methodology while treating music appropriately under music-theoretical questions in the areas of analysis, interpretation and compositional technique, taking into account both historical and systematic moments of theory formation. The program contributes in the area of music physiology, vocal physiology including vocal prophylaxis and performance anxiety where prospective students are able to minimize potential stresses of music performance, avoid detours in practicing, and lay the foundation for efficient practice and healthy music making.
