Description
The “Bachelor of Music in Violoncello (Artistic)” is an eight-semester bachelor degree provided by the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music Dresden. The program includes seminars on copyright law, drafting contracts, seminars on musician physiology and the psychological basics of making musicv and lessons in methodology, music theory, musicology as well as ear training. During the course, students are enabled to understand essential aspects of the comprehensive field of New Music in the context of the significant political, social and cultural upheavals up to the end of the Second World War and to describe the cultural events of the second half of the century, such as those of the second half of the century. The focus also falls on the compositional and theoretical mastery of twelve-tone technique, modal and polymodal, serial and post-serial compositional techniques with a special emphasis placed on the interpretation of exemplary works from all areas of new music.
