The further training course “Art Therapy” offered by Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg provides participants with solid knowledge and skills in the field of art therapy, which uses plastic and graphic media and methods, so as to made available nonverbal forms of expression. Students will gain experience of artistic and plastic design. They will learn the foundations of diagnostics, developmental psychology, neurology, and other relevant disciplines. Furthermore, participants will get to know various art therapeutic methods. After the submission of a written thesis and a final colloquium extending several days with a creative art-therapeutic presentation, students receive “Diploma of Advanced Studies”.
