Description

The further educational training “Coding Specialist” offered by Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg is a joint program together with the MDK Baden-Württemberg provides registered nurses and other students with medical experience a training, in order to become coding specialists. The concentration is put on clinical coding, coding check and payroll audit. The curriculum is divided into two phases, the first one is more theoretical, whereas the second set a focus on the practice. Some of the topics that are addressed throughout the course are systematics of the G- DRG system, medical terminology, MKD quality controls, billing rules, complex codes, etc.
