The additional study program “Sport-related, World-oriented Social Work with Socially Disadvantaged Young People” offered by Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg is a joint program together with the Steinbach sports school, the Badische Sportjugend, the Evangelical University of Freiburg and the project sponsors of sports practice / sports projects. A requirement for admission in the course is studying bachelor`s degree in social work, curative education or pedagogy, as well as a membership in a sports association. The emphasis of the program is put on the socio-educational application of exercise and athletic activity for socially disadvantaged young people in order to facilitate participation and encourage development. A natural necessity is a desire to exercise and participate in sports. Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate.
